• All equipment and uniforms are the property of the Lakeland Broncos organization and are loaned to players for use during the season.
  •  Parents must sign for any equipment issued.
  • Any registration balances must be paid before equipment handout. 
  • It is the player and their parents’ responsibility to see that uniforms and equipment are cared for properly.  
  • If there is a problem with the fitting of any piece of equipment please see your Coach or Unit Director within the first week of practice.

UNIFORM CARE & CLEANING

NOTE: The spandex type fibers will be discolored and loosened if a liquid bleach is used – NO LIQUID BLEACH please.

  • Game Jersey: Apply a pre-wash spray to badly stained areas.  Wash in COLD only.  LINE/HANG DRY only.
  • Game Pants:  Apply a pre-wash spray to badly stained areas and scrub with a laundry brush.  Wash in warm water and detergent.   No bleach.  Dry in dryer on cool or medium setting.  
  • Practice Pants:  Apply a pre-wash, soak in sudsy water immediately before stains set, and scrub with a laundry brush to help get pants clean.  Wash in warm water with detergent and dry in dryer on cool or medium setting.
  • Cheer Skirts and Vests:  Wash in warm water and detergent.  A pre-wash spray will loosen stains.  HANG / LINE DRY only.  A warm iron may be used for touchups.

We realize the washing process can be lengthy.  However, the uniforms will look and wear beautifully if they are taken care of properly. 

FOOTBALL PROPER PRACTICE ATTIRE

  • Practice jersey and pants
  • All padding
  • Mouth guard and athletic cup ARE REQUIRED.  Not optional
  • Two pairs of socks are recommended to reduce the possibility of blisters.  
  • Linemen may want to wear gloves.

No gum, street shoes or boots, necklaces, watches, rings, pins, earrings, nose rings, piercings, metal hair pieces, shirts or tees with inappropriate language or subject matter, including advertising of tobacco or alcohol.

CHEER PROPER PRACTICE ATTIRE

For practice apparel, it is – dress appropriately.  No short shorts or crop tops.  Tennis shoes must be worn.

CHEER EQUIPMENT & APPAREL

The following equipment/apparel is loaned to you by the Bronco organization and must be returned at season end, and is required to participate in the game.

FOOTBALL EQUIPMENT & APPAREL

The physical contact in football demands that each player wears a full complement of protective equipment.  Protective equipment is inspected and examined as required by the manufacturer to maintain all safety standards and warranties. The following equipment/apparel is loaned to you by the Bronco organization and must be returned at season end.  It is expected that care of this equipment is given while in your possession.  You may be charged for missing or damaged items beyond normal wear and tear as identified by the Equipment Manager.

 

We provide the following equipment:

·        Helmet

·        Chin Straps (we have limited stock, first come first served.) We recommend purchasing your own for use across seasons.

·        Shoulder Pads

·        Practice Pants and Practice Jersey

·        Knee Pads (we have limited stock, first come first served.)  We recommend purchasing your own.  See girdle below

·        Game Uniform – Pants, socks and belt-Players keep the socks...(If you choose, you can wear you own plain black intergrated pants)

 You are responsible to provide:

·        Teeth or Mouth Protection.  A mouth guard must be worn at all practices and games.  No clear or white mouth guards allowed.

·        Shoes. Non-detachable rubber cleated shoes or athletic shoes are required.  No metal or screw-in type cleats will be allowed.

·        5-Piece Girdle.  A girdle with hip, tail and thigh pads should be purchased by you.  Additionally, please consider purchasing a 7-piece girdle instead which will have knee pads in it as well

·        Cup and Supporter.  Shall be worn by all players at all practices and games.  Please note that most 5 & 7-piece girdles will have a “pouch” for a cup so the actual supporter will not be required.   

·        In colder weather, your child should also wear a long sleeved thermal or insulated pull-over under his jersey.

 Please contact the Equipment Manager directly with any questions relating to what may or may not be required for purchase by players BEFORE the first day of practice.

  • Participants must never wear game uniforms to practice.  These items are only to be worn at games.  However, we do encourage participants to wear their game jersey to school on the Fridays prior to each game.  We are proud of our Broncos and want them to display their pride and spirit in this way.  
  •  Broncos are expected to display courteous and respectful behavior at all time but especially while in uniform.  Inappropriate behavior may result in disciplinary action.

CLEATS / ATHLETIC SHOES

Shoes should be purchased 3-4 weeks PRIOR to season start and worn daily in order to break them in.  Two pairs of socks are recommended during the first couple weeks to prevent blisters.

EQUIPMENT / UNIFORM DAMAGE COSTS

Damage due to misuse or carelessness is the responsibility of the parents.
